GLYCINE
Glycine plays important roles in glutathione synthesis,
bile production and the synthesis of nucleic acids. It is
thought to have special importance in supporting
neurological, gastrointestinal and connective tissue
health.
60 CAPS PRICE US$11.30
L-carnitine
is necessary for fatty acid metabolism and
energy production in cardiac and skeletal muscle. It is
involved in fatty acid oxidation as part of the
carnitine shuttle. L-carnitine shuttles fatty acids from
the cytosol (the cell fluid) into the mitochondria (the
cell’s powerhouses) for oxidation and energy
production. L-carnitine is necessary in muscle
100 CAPS PRICE US$ 31.30
L-Methionine
is an essential amino acid, meaning that it must be obtained it
from the diet, since the body cannot synthesize it from other
amino acids. The amino acid plays an important role in the
body with methyl group metabolism, which is essential for
normal liver and neurological function. Methionine can also act
as free radical scavenger, making it useful to support the body’
s antioxidant defenses

Amino Acids are the chemical units or "building blocks" of the body that make up proteins. Protein substances make up the
muscles, tendons, organs, glands, nails, and hair. Growth, repair and maintenance of all cells are dependent upon them. Next
to water, protein makes up the greatest portion of our body weight. Amino Acids that must be obtained from the diet are called
"Essential Amino Acids" other Amino Acids that the body can manufacture from other sources are called "NonEssential Amino
Acids."
Amino acids have many functions in the body. They are the building blocks for all body proteins—structural proteins that build
muscle, connective tissues, bones and other structures, and functional proteins in the form of thousands of metabolically
active enzymes. Amino acids provide the body with the nitrogen that is essential for growth and maintenance of all tissues and
structures.
Proteins and amino acids also serve as a source of energy, providing about 4 calories per gram.
Aside from these general functions, individual amino acids also have specific functions in many aspects of human physiology
and biochemistry. Amino acids serve as precursors for many nitrogenous substances. These include heme, purines,
pyrimidines, hormones, and neuro-transmitters, including biologically active peptides. In addition, many proteins contain amino
acids that have been modified for a specific function, e.g., calcium binding or collagen cross-linking. L-Histidine is thought to
play important roles in proper joint, neurological and cardiovascular support.
L - HISTIDINE
L-Histidine is thought to play important roles in proper joint, neurological and
cardiovascular support.
60 Tabs PRICE US$ 21.90
L-PROLINE
L-Proline plays an important role in skin health and collagen formation as the body can convert proline into
hydroxyproline, which is used by the body to make into collagen.
60 Caps PRICE US$ 27.00
L-ORNITINE
Supplemental dietary ornithine can serve as a precursor of arginine. Both ornithine and arginine can support normal
wound healing, blood sugar metabolism and proper hormone secretion. Some scientists suggest that supplementation
with ornithine may also support proper gastrointestinal functioning.

L-SERINE
Aside from these general functions, individual amino acids also have specific functions in many aspects of human
physiology and biochemistry. Amino acids serve as precursors for many nitrogenous substances. These include
heme, purines, pyrimidines, hormones, and neuro-transmitters, including biologically active peptides. In addition, many
proteins contain amino acids that have been modified for a specific function, e.g., calcium binding or collagen
cross-linking. L-serine can play important roles in the body to form the sulphur-rich amino acid, L-cystine.

L-TYROSINE
Tyrosine is a precursor of important neurotransmitters in the brain, such as dopamine, epinephrine (adrenaline) and
norepinephrine (noradrenaline). The synthesis of these neurotransmitters is limited by the rate of tyrosine entry from
plasma into the brain. For example, low plasma
levels of tyrosine, as can result from the use of oral contraceptive drugs, cause lower norepinephrine synthesis which
is associated with mood changes and other neurological signs. Tyrosine is also a precursor of the thyroid hormones
triiodothyronine and thyroxine. In the thyroid gland,
these hormones are synthesized from a precursor protein called thyroglobulin, which is a large protein rich in tyrosine
residues that are reacted with iodine. When needed, thyroid hormones are released via hydrolysis from thyroglobulin.
Thyroglobulin functions as storage for the thyroid hormones; a several weeks’ supply of these hormones exists in the
normal thyroid gland. Once released, thyroid hormones act via specific cell receptors
to increase oxygen consumption and basal metabolic rate. L-tyrosine is a conditionally essential amino acid that
canbe manufactured by the body from the essential amino acid phenylalanine.

SUBLINGUAL L-GLUTATHIONE
Glutathione is a naturally-occurring tripeptide of Lcysteine, L-glutamate and L-glycine. Glutathione is the essential
cosubstrate for two major antioxidant enzymes in the body; glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase. As
such, glutathione offers one mechanism for scavenging toxic free radicals. Glutathione is well absorbed in the
intestine, and enters the blood and other extracellular compartments where it exerts much of its beneficial antioxidant
effects. However, it can not effectively enter the cell. N-Acetyl L-cysteine (NAC) is a precursor for the sulfur amino
acid cysteine, and cysteine is used by the body to synthesize glutathione. In contrast to glutathione, NAC is efficiently
transported into the cell where it is readily converted to L-cysteine for glutathione synthesis. NAC is well absorbed,
and unlike L-cysteine, is virtually non-toxic. NAC is recognized as a safe, highly effective means of increasing
intracellular glutathione stores. Aside from providing cysteine as a glutathione precursor, NAC also appears to have
antioxidant properties by itself, and is a valuable sulfur donor for various metabolic needs.
